Watch a folder
If broken filenames arrive regularly — mail attachments, messenger downloads, a shared NAS drop — set Mojifix to watch that folder and fix them as they land.
Setting it up
Choose Watch a folder in Mojifix, pick the folder (Downloads is the usual choice), and enable the watch. macOS will ask you to grant access to that folder the first time.
What it does
While the watch is on, files that appear in the folder with detectably broken names are renamed to their restored originals using the same engine and safety rules as manual repair. Names that cannot be recovered cleanly are flagged rather than guessed.
Good to know
- Watching runs locally, like everything else — no network access.
- Files with healthy names are left untouched.
- You can pause or stop the watch at any time.
